Hot Cup O' Tea (Land of Fire Tea House)

A quiet, almost unnoticeable place out by the boarders between the land of fire and the land of wind. It sat next to a hill, with a forest of trees hiding it, a large pond, and a sizable clearing beside it from the war-raged world.

From afar it looked much like a common Western house, complete with a white picket fence. There were two entrances, one was the class door with an open/close sign hanging on the inside, a bell propped up against the door so that when it opens the employee's know they have a customer. And on the back side of the building, a deck extended at least ten feet back and was covered in tables with a roof over them. There were double glass sliding doors to let people in and out.

Inside it was a beautiful but calm setting. White table clothes covered dozens of tables, on each was a center piece of freshly picked flowers, and at least two settings of fine china. In the back, it looked like a bakery with sweets and chocolates 'home'made. Hundreds of flavors of tea were available, all printed on nice card stock. What looked like a two story build had no second floor, just several rows of fans that made a nice breeze come down on customers.

"So then does that make me special?" he asked casually, the tea house had actually been located outside of the village, but the walk wouldn't take to much longer. At least there was a nice breeze and the tall trees with their large coverage of leaves provided nice shade along the way. Being a ninja however Tatsu couldn't help but dart his eyes left and right periodically for a few minutes, i wasnt easy being a ninja, people tend to be after you or try to kill you but most of the time it was peaceful.

In some form of way I guess. Entertainment is more like it actually." She said taking another gulp of water as they neared their location. Deciding that she didn't like the conversation on kidnapping she went another way about it. "Have any recent boob hugs lately? Kurai teased. A grin had appeared on her face with a slightly perverted glint in her eyes. Payback was beginning to taste all too sweet like her recent candy piece of caramel.

"Im not some pet you know, well not anymore" he said jokingly of course, he thought the conversation would end there but the next thing she said threw him completely for a loop. He had almost forgotten about that time she quite literally smothered him against her chest, forcibly i might add. His eyes went wide and his hands shuffled a bit as he looked around, continuing the banter her looked her in the eye and spoke once more. "Nope, is that some kind of invitation?" he said slyly.

While she watched his reaction Kurai barely stifled her laughter. As usual he was entertaining. Though as she heard his own question she stopped her laughter in return for ignoring the question. "Look? We're here." she said pointing at the building that was becoming clear in their sights. Kurai began to speed up in an attempt to get there faster.

Tatsu smirked as his reply had gotten them of the topic, he considered it a small personal victory, the tea house was soon in sight and he began to run along keeping up with the girl as they approached. He started to think of other topics they could talk about whilst drinking their tea, hopefully nothing to sketchy would come to mind.

Kurai slowed her run to a causal walk as they neared the tea house closer to the point where she could smell the delicacy of jasmine tea float up towards her keen nose. The smell caused the young ninja to smile to herself. Standing outside of the tea house she could barely get herself to move as her mind was put into a spell by the many different smells of teas.

Once they were both at the front Tatsu opened the door for the girl, seeing as how she seemed to be in sort of a trance, or thats how he saw it anyway. As they walked inside tatsu looked around, it was very nice and quiet, soothing music was playing in the back round on what sounded like flute. A waitress in a purple and pink robe stepped up to them guiding them to a small table surrounded by sitting pillows.

Kurai had snapped out of daze when she saw Tatsu open the door and had rushed inside with him. She momentarily looked around in awe at the beauty of the building. It had been awhile since she had there and yet she still had to be dazzled by it's gorgeous decoration. Kurai once again snapped herself out of daze and quickly followed after Tatsu and the waitress while enjoying the music in the background. When they made it to their seats Kurai sat down on the soft pillow with a content look adoring her face.

Tatsu sat down cross legged and a large green pillow as he looked at kurai she seemed rather happy, that made him happy too. Returning a smile he already knew what he wanted. He looked to the waitress and ordered some green tea. He then looked around the place once more. He had a strange feeling but he ignored it for the time being.

"I'll have me some green tea also!" Kurai said to the waitress with her usual bubbly attitude returning with full enthusiasm. She gave a grin to Tatsu as the waitress walked away with their orders and leaned back on her hands. "Tatsu-chan is this your first time here" she asked while tilting her head to the side slightly in questioning. She knew that she had been here before but those times were when she was helping around the village.

"A couple of times, what about you?" he replied remaining in a very good posture. He looked to the side of the table and noticed a small bowl filled with fortune cookies, along with a napkin dispenser and a cup of sugar. Tatsu curiously took one of the cookie out of the bowl and opened the package containing it.

Kurai shrugged her shoulders lazily and made an noise by clicking her tongue. "Just when helping around the village. Not usually on my own freewill." she replied resting her head on the table in front of her. Kurai watching as Tatsu took the fortune cookie. Not really a fortune cookie person she took a random candy from her jackets pocket and popped it into her mouth. "What's your fortune Tatsu-chan?" the konoichi asked with slight curiosity. She glanced around for the waitress growing impatient with waiting for her tea.

Tatsu cracked open the cookie and removed the fortune, as he placed the cookie in his mouth he closed his eyes and held out his hand with the small fortune in it "I dont wanna look, read it for me" he said hoping he didn't get a bad fortune. He didnt believe a cookie could really tell the future and he wasnt very superstitious but it was still fun to pretend sometimes.

Kurai blinked when he handed her the fortune. Why'd he want her to read it? She mumbled under breath about something close to bossy Hyunga before taking the fortune with a sigh she read it to herself before voicing it out, "Watch your back for boob hugs Tatsu-chan." she said with barely contained laughter as a few giggles narrowly escaped her mouth before she clenched it shut. Kurai watched for his reaction with excitement dancing in her sapphire eyes.

He cheeks went a bit red as he started having flash backs to that one event, his eyes snapped open as he shook the thoughts from his mind, he then looked behind him, actually believing the fortune was warning him for an ambush of someones chest. He stared back but nobody was there, giving a sigh of relief he slowly turned back to face kurai.

Kurai nearly fell off of her pillow when she saw his reaction but instead opted for pointing at him and laughing softly. "It didn't say it was going to happen now or here Tatsu-chan." she said with a smirk and winked at him. Ah how she loved revenge.

He made a light gulping noise as he looked at her, the waitress coming back with their tea, she knelt down and set the tray down before him. As she did tatsu scooted away from her worried, he was now completely paranoid any tried his best avoid any sneak attacks. "Thank you" he said as he watched her leave, when she did he calmed down a bit and drank his tea.

Kurai stifled her laughter and smiled at the waitress when she finally brought them there tea. With a quiet thank you while watching Tatsu's reaction towards the waitress with mirth in her eyes. She watched him for a little while longer before she started to drink her tea. The teen was putting a few spoonfuls of sugar in her drink while she watched them. The word delicious briefly passed through Kurai's mind as the sweet drink slid down her throat.

Instead of just spooning in the sugar, tatsu picked up the small cup and poured a large amount of sugar into his tea. Finding this competently normal he continued to stir and mix it. When he was done he took a sip and looked to the girl. "Its really good, hows yours?" he asked, it had looked as if she were enjoying hers.

Kurai resisted the urge to sweatdrop at the amount of sugar Tatsu put in his tea. That was a lot of sugar even for her. "That's a lot of sugar don't you think Tatsu-chan? My tea is sweet and tasty too but that's a lot. A big sweet tooth? Kufufufufufufu~" she asked in with a crazed laugh. Kurai unconsciously stirred her tea again and took another sip.

"I like my tea sweet" he said casually , when she made that strange laugh again he gave a strange look "Are you sure you are okay Kurai?" this was the third or second time she had made that noise, was she sick? Maybe she had an allergy. whatever it was tatsu didnt understand, maybe it was better that he didnt.

Kurai chuckled silently to herself when she saw Tatsu react towards her crazy laugh. "Of course I'm ok Tatsu-chan. I was just laughing, ya know?" she replied with a grin. It was amusing just to watch him look surprised by her laugh but he'd better get used to it by now. She was from Kirigakure so of course she had some crazy in her blood. Kurai frowned slightly to herself at that thought and took another short sip of her tea.

"Well if you say so" Tatsu didn't really know what to say at this point so he just sat there drinking his tea, looking around from time to time, he looked up at the girl for a moment curious as to what was going through her head, maybe she was wondering what was going through his head too. He looked down again tracing a small circle on the table with his finger, the silence began to grow and he still couldn't think of a thing to say. For once he had nothing to say , usually at a time like this he would go find something to do but just walking up and leaving right now would be very rude extremely when he was with a friend.

Kurai just nodded her head slowly as she finished her tea. "Well this was fun Tatsu-chan but I think I'm gonna head home now. You should too. It's getting dark." the blonde said as she slowly got up from her seat and took out her mini wallet to pay for the tea and put the correct amount of ryo on the table. "I'll pay too since you paid last time.". Kurai gave one last grim before walking calmly away from the table then out of the tea house.
